The Botanic Garden's Spring Bulb Show is a Smith College tradition that began in the early 1900s We are in the throes of winter right now, but the 2025 Spring Bulb Show is on the horizon! We have already started pulling bulbs from the cooler that we potted up last fall.

Ordinarily blooming at different times during the spring, over 8,000 bulbs are coaxed into flowering simultaneously, providing an explosion of color against the backdrop of the departing winter. If you can't attend the lecture in person, a recording of it will. There are members-only hours from 9 - 10 am daily, and extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays until 8pm.
